 The Board of Trustees, Management and Staff of the Sustainable Energy Practitioners Association Nigeria (SEPAN) in collaboration with Global Legislators Organization for a Balanced Environment (GLOBE), under the personal supervision of the Senate President, Dr. BukolaSaraki  and with tacit support from the Federal Ministry of Environment, Kaduna State Government and Green Economics Initiative of Nigeria are happy to invite you as a PARTICIPANT to the 2^nd Nigeria Annual Green Economy Training, Lecture, Exhibition and Award Series (Kaduna 2017) July 5-6, 2017 at Musa Yar’Adua Sports Complex, Kaduna.

Programme Schedule:

1^ST DAY- 5^th July, 2017: Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) as the Chief Guest of Honour is expected to declare the ceremony open. It will be followed almost immediately with a Test for Standardization Training/ Capacity Building  for the selection of 100 Prospective Renewable and Energy Efficient Entrepreneurs(1) with WINROCK/USAID, SON, and AS SOLAR as Examiners. The first day session will be chaired by Dr. Aliko Dangote, Chairman Dangote Group with Keynote from Engr. Emeka Okwuosa, Chairman, Oilserv Group.

2^nd DAY- 6^th July, 2017: Test for Standardization Training/Capacity Building for selection of 100 Prospective Renewable and Energy Efficient Entrepreneurs (2), with GIZ, Heinrich boll Foundation, SON and BLUE CAMEL ENERGY as confirmed Examiners. The Chairman of this Session is Engr. Otis Anyaeji, President of Nigerian Society of Engineers with a Key Note from Ms Bunmi Lawson, CEO of ACCION Microfinance Bank Ltd.

The Second Day will also have Dr. Sunny Akpoyibo-The Chairman of West African Emission Trading Association (WAETA) deliver a brief Speech on the Emission Reduction Investment Opportunities in a Green Economy, to be followed immediately by The Annual Lecture from Dr. Miriam Kennet, Executive Director, Green Economics Institute, Trinity College, Oxford University, UK. This session is expected to be Chaired by Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. Thereafter, the Award Night will commence by 7pm with a Key Note from Host Governor, Mal. Nasir El-Rufai, Chaired by Vice Admiral MurtalaNyako (Rtd).

Besides the Award to 2017 recipients, there will be Induction into Nigeria’s Green Economy Hall of Fame for 2016 Recipients and inauguration into SEPAN’S National Advisory Council. Among those to be inducted include: Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Senator Dr. BukolaSaraki, Sen. Dr. Buka Abbah Ibrahim, Amina Mohammed, Prof. Anthony Nyong, Vice Admiral MurtalaNyako (Rtd),  Sen. Helen Esuene, Dr. MrsOlufunso Amosun, Hon. Nicholas Mutu, Engr. Nkem Ononiwu, Engr. Yahaya Ahmed, Christine K and Dr. Sunny Akpoyibo.
