Petrus Obinwanne, Financial Secretary; Mr. Stanley Amuche, Publicity Secretary; Barr. Eden Luke, Legal Adviser; Dr. Amina Batagarawa, Head of Research and Program; and Mr. Albert Udoh, Ex-Officio. Speaking at his inauguration, Dr. Chris Edeh expressed gratitude for the confidence placed in the new leadership and acknowledged the responsibility that comes with leading the association.

He also recognised the contribution of SEPAN’s Board of Trustees and outgoing executives, noting that their work had helped preserve the association’s institutional foundation.

Dr. Edeh said the new Executive Committee is committed to building on that foundation while responding to the changing needs of Nigeria’s energy sector.

The new administration comes at an important time for Nigeria’s sustainable energy industry, as the country continues to grapple with the need to expand energy access, improve reliability, accelerate renewable energy deployment and strengthen local participation across the clean energy value chain.

Under the new leadership, SEPAN will seek to strengthen collaboration among energy practitioners, industry stakeholders, policymakers, researchers and other institutions while creating more opportunities for professional development and knowledge exchange.

The Association will also continue to provide a platform for conversations around emerging technologies and trends shaping the energy sector, including artificial intelligence, smart data, renewable energy technologies and innovative approaches to energy access.

For SEPAN, the inauguration represents more than a change in leadership. It marks the beginning of a new chapter for an association seeking to remain relevant to the professionals and institutions shaping Nigeria’s sustainable energy future.
